Those things I need to realizes at 25

Those things I need to realizes at 25

I am at the point in my life where and when I feel that i am actually 100% adult. But yet I feel so insecure and uncertain with things.

How I call myself as an adults. I earn my own money, I support my family, I pay my own bills (ON TIME) , I clean my own place, I buy my own groceries, I do my own laundry, I try to manage my own schedule between family, work, friends and life, I make life-changing decision and I am 25.

And then at every moment start being in this quarter of a century that I find myself a little wiser than yesterday.

This is what I need and now finally realizes by the age of 25:

1. If you don't question what you believe in, you end up making the same mistakes over and over.

We often fall into the same mistake over and over and we just couldn't find out what is happening and why it doesn't work up, why do our old ideas aren't working.
At this point, we must, must, must ask ourselves two questions:
(A) Is this idea I'm acting on even effing true?
(B) What would happen if everyone in the world believed this idea and behaved as I'm behaving now?

And then you will realize why.

2.  Make goals a real goal

Goals are not a January 1st kind of thing. Try to set them weekly. Or set them monthly. Set them so that you are moving forward and always trying to progress.
We don't wanna move backward or step on the ground, time don't wait for us to move.

3. Confidence is a sexy thing

And, there's nothing sexier than a woman who knows who she is, confident and happy. Embrace yourself; be confidentsexy and happy

4. The smaller your circle, the lesser the stress

Overtime since high school, you have learned that not everyone who call you dear is so dear to you, and not all facebook friend are actually your friend, or true friend in real life. You learned that no matter how many hundreds, thousands of follower and "likers" you have on social media, you can only count on the realest people with just your fingers.
Get out of it and have a real life friend.

5. Family means everything

This is something we always hear from the older people when we were still young and reckless. But now you really learned its essence to the core of your being after years away from home chasing after what the future holds for you.
You learned that at the end of the day, the sweetest idea will always be that you will always have somewhere to go and your most favourite people in the world are there waiting for you.

6. Your lover/ Partner is you best friend

You will learned that there's really not a constant need for a girls talks and all that because you have the world right by your side.
You learned that though love is not measured in the years you spent together, but the years will always be intangible proof of your solid partnership against the world and it will always be a source of proud for you.

What we found in a soulmate is not something wild to tame, but something wild to run with.He will be the one person who know you the best, better than anyone else.

7. Not everyone's gonna be nice
We try to imagine the world to be as sweet as possible. A much as we wanna live in a perfect world, you will always have the chance to come across people who seem to do nothing but burst someone's bubble. But even if the world is getting out of your way, be positive, learned to love yourself and respect yourself and that you have a protection to protect yourself from getting hurt by those unhealthy people. In fact, learned to make a opposite out of theme. you will learned that the world is beautiful and have beautiful people in it. So try your best to inspire people, motivate people, move people by living your life the most positive way it could be.

8. GOD is an Awesome GOD

You learned that He is guiding, moulding you all along and that all your wishes, your dreams have been granted in many different ways. In even a better way than you can thought of or imagined of. You will learned to surrender everything to HIM- your disappointment, your burden, your struggle, sorrow, regrets, guilt, dreams and your success.

With God, everything will be okay.

YES, WE D-I-Y OUR OWN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

So…it’s Saturday! This week past by in a flash. Maybe because of the short trip to SABAH! Yeah! I gonna blog about this Sabah trip in another post when the photos are ready.
Sunset @ Jesselton Point Waterfront Jetty
It’s definitely happening this weekend, I tell you!
We been discussing about our wedding which counting down 48 days from today! whoop!! That's really fast!
So ever since we got engaged in Jan 2015, we've been getting a lot of inquiries. " So, who is going to shoot your wedding? Where are you planning to have your engagement photo taken? How are you going to do it? "
There's even an idea of  photoshooting our own wedding on the actual day but in the case that we really wanna enjoy our big day, Amos decide to let go of his little DSLR baby for just one little day :p
But we did decide that we wanted to take a shot at shooting our own engagement photos!Yup! Thats right! We have our own engagement shoot!  We knew it was definitely going to be a bit of a challenge- but I have this faith in Amos that he is going to do it just the way we want it and it would all be worth it! It ended up being a tons of fun and we enjoy every moment doing it together. (In spite that we need to carry all the heavy equipment, cameras, lenses, tripod and even do our own makeup) This is how we do our very special wedding
And so here we are taking the journey to our yet to perfect but soon pre wedding photographs~

Quote of the day

Starting of 2015

I started year 2015 with a resolution to be more of a romantic but also sentimentalist at the same time. In the sense of living in the moment vs. living in the past or expectations of the future.

In order to hold true to my resolution, I started with paying more attention to everyone surrounding me at this moment.

I been thinking to myself lately, for the beginning of Jan, what have I done in order to go towards my resolution. So I decided to ask my girl friends out for the night just to chill, relax and talk about what happened in our life recently.

I'm glad that I did that yesterday. It is absolutely nice to see somebody that I care, are straightening their life, living their life to the fullness.

"Thanks life for happening, thanks every twist and turn, there is a reason for every single thing" - quote from my friend

The sentimentalist would hold on tightly to traditions while the romantic would enjoy each moments, the coffee, the conversation, the laughter. Because all we really have are moments. Moments that are unable to defined by the past but have been lived fully enough to be remembered and appreciated in the future.

So lets cheers to every moments that seize all your senses, no matter their duration.

Small things to big things that touches your heart, music that makes you cry, video that make you go in a different view. Art that blows your mind. Movie that change your life. Romances that keeps your heart warm. Friends that stay by your side. And night like yesterday, simple yet heartwarming enough.

Do you once have that feeling when you ever read a quote or hear a song and the word eloquently describe exactly how you feel or something you want to say? You can relate to it so much that a smile will spreads right across your face and you feel an urgency to share it immediately?

Here to everyone that see this, start from today we shall all :
" Believe in yourself, push your limits, experience life, conquer your goals, And be HAPPY "

My Dream, My Life, Agnes Patisserie

Hi guys,

Today I gonna introduce my career, about how I started to make cakes and how I started this bakery

I grew up in a big family while my parents doesn't really bake, and not even cook, how do I end up baking starts from the part time job in Niniq Bistro.

I started the job as a part time waitress in the restaurant. But my interest in cake grew day by day, suddenly one day the lady boss, Angela ask me if i would like to join as cake apprentice full time. I struggle sometime for that means I have to gave up my studies and concentrate on working. Will it be a big mistake... I wonder...But as Nike slogan say : "Just Do It!" XD

The most memorable thing from this job is making a fondant cake for one of the colleague birthday party. This is the first time ever in the bakery we had made a fondant cover cake (it was not so popular back then) , and it doesn't turn out very well i could say.  :(

I started making cakes for friends just for fun and also earn some extra income, but soon I realizes that I really enjoyed doing for others that made them smile and feel extra special.

So I took up a diploma class in KL to brush up my knowledge about cakes & baking.

Then a friend ordered a cake. A. CAKE. A CUSTOM made cake!! Wow! Now that was a challenge. I hadn't really tried custom made cakes yet but I love a challenge. So I did it. And they love it !

1st custom cake that I made XD

I got so many requests for custom made cakes that I hardly received classic cake orders anymore. .

Over the next 6 years, I found myself baking lots of cakes, cupcakes for people I just met, family and friends. They will customizes it, make it to their one and only cake design. And I absolutely enjoyed making them.

And as I did more cakes and other baking for family, friends and co-workers, I got busier and busier, people introduce and introduce .

Having a full time job in the morning as sales and marketing and it seemed a bit of a stretch for me to venture into the baking world full time.

However, something told me that it was the thing to do, and in 2011, I met Amos, he encourage me so much and I decided to make my love of baking, decorating and designing custom cakes a legit business and
Agnes Patisserie was born.

Little corner in Agnes cafe

Owning a retail bakery was always a dream I had, but I would often say I was not sure I could ever own a bakery, because “those people have to get up REALLY early in the morning” to make sure everything is fresh. As you can see, it did happen and I couldn't be happier to be doing what I love and living my dream (all while waking up more times before 5am than I ever imagined a person could do in their lifetime & working 20+hrs days.)

Serving forks and spoons

In Agnes Patisserie where you can come get all your favorite cakes and treats whenever you want. I specialize in custom cake designs, cupcakes, cake balls, weddings, events & graduations.

Green Tea cheesecake

I love to make others smile, and there is nothing better than giving someone a box of custom made cupcake, treats or a custom designed cake and see them overjoyed with happiness!

It's been 3 long year and I had enjoyed every bits of it !

The Proposal

Hey guys, this is it!
I'm SO EXCITED to share it with you all XD
Ok so here goes. Super long post with lots of pictures btw better sit down and have some tea.
We been talking a lot about how he is going to propose and how i wanted a simple yet beautiful proposal.

Amos is so busy with his work start from Jan 2015. And he always say he have no time! I never thought that he would actually plan it :)
Last week, we were talking about going over to R&F princess cove for dinner to support our customer newly open restaurant. And well the place is really nice and highly recommended by  lots of bloggers, so I said ok dinner on.
Check up the restaurant FB : GREENET PRINCESS COVE

Then on the next day, stephy asked me for dinner too. And we discuss about the 1600 panda coming over to R &F as well. So I ask Amos if we can have a friend gathering dinner instead and he is okay with it. So I invited all my sista to join us for dinner. I was so excited that we could go take photo of the pandas!! I love panda :)

So on that day, like usual saturday i'm super busy in the kitchen working hard to produce beautiful cakes for our customer meantime Amos went out to meet his friend to discuss on some business. [which only i know he is not after the proposal ]
And suddenly Stephy text and mentions she cannot come for dinner in time because she have her last minute drum lesson right before dinner time.  And also no panda today due to the rain :( And other sista is always late (every time XD)
I am so sad everybody ffk me, even the panda also ffk me @@
so Amos told me that we can go home and have a rest, get changed only head to the restaurant.
He even pick a nice dress for me to wear, which he normally wouldn't  :) (This is where i smell something strange ><)

We arrived the restaurant at around 7.45pm because it was at the seaside so we stroll along the beach since none of my friends arrived.
Finally I decided to enter the restaurant, Liza bought us to the second floor but no place to sit because we have a group of 10 person. And the seats at all used up ,which i think somebody is going to propose there tonight XD  Nice decor!! So romantic :)
(ended up to be mine XD teehee)

I was very hungry (arrived late, very very hungry) so I didn't hear anything for a few seconds when the music on.  But suddenly Liza ask us to change seat and we moved to the nicely decorated place.
I looked over and there through the glass doors of the restaurant walking in with balloons is my sista and Jason (Amos friend). But I didn't have time to think about it because suddenly Amos had a nice bouquets in his arms and he was moving me to stand in the middle of the heart shaped rose petals.
He got down on one knee and proposed! It was so beautiful.

He was so nervous ended up mumbling … except that it ended with a “I love you and I want to take care of you for the rest of my life"

We kissed and hugged. When we were done we looked around us and all our friends were in tears.
This photo looks like he is forcing me to kiss > <

We all then sat down for dinner together with our friends.

About me and why I started this blog

Summing yourself up on a bio page is always pretty weird, right?

Ok, let's see. We'll start with my name. I'm Agnes, and I'm the author behind this here blog. I love to write and always have, and born from that love was this silly little space on the Internet.

I live in Malaysia, and runs Agnes Patisserie full time. I never would have guessed I'd be a Cake decorator when I grew up, but life takes us on funny adventures, and here I find myself really in love with my work, and I know that's something to be so grateful for.

This blog was born in 2015 when I was officially engaged with AMOS , and since then it has changed and morphed and grown right alongside me. I really hope this will be more than just-for-fun. I'll never forget, though, the day he ask :) (Which i will write more about on the next post)

I'm a bit of a homebody and love spending time with my loved one. Movie at home, just cuddling :)

We also love nothing more than a delicious meal and pretty much live to try new restaurants.mostly we will hang out in Singapore or JB area which makes me do a lot of vickyshim blog, if you're interested in some recommendations around the city!

Anyway,

I actually have always wanted a heart-shaped diamond ring. I think they're beautiful and unique. And then, there it goes :) I really got one and I'm loving it!

Here a photo of my engagement ring :)

“So hold my hand tight. Hold my hand with confidence. For this love can last forever. For this love we shall share together” - shelby dawson

I will write another post about how he ask and some more photos!
